Ab aansu'on ko aankhon mein sajaana hoga
Chiraag buje gaye. . . khud ko jalaana hoga
Na samajhna ke tumse bichhad ke khush hain
Hamein logon ki khaatir muskuraana hoga
Phir pairon mein mehndi laga ke baithe honge
Hum jaan-te hain unkaa kya bahana hoga.
Phir shaam dhal gayi ..aap aaye na aaj bhi
Dil ko aaj phir umeedon se behlaana hoga

Vaada-khilaafi kar ke muskuraate ho aap
Dekhna aik din sanam aapko pachhtaana hoga.
Lahoo se apne kafan pe tera naam likh jaaunga
Thaam haath mein kaleja tumko aana hoga

Abhi se na kijiye takaaze masroofiyat ke aap
Abhi utthna hai janaaza kaandha to lagaana hoga
Muddaton kiya hai tera intezaar aey yaar..!
Umar kat chuki. . .ab ham ko jaana hoga
