Wo khayal tha koi dhanak numa, ya koi aks tha mere ru ba ru,

Mujhe har taraf se jo Tu laga, wo tu hi tha ya koi hu ba hu,

bayan me thi wo chashni k mehak raha tha Harf harf,

jese Khushboun ki zuban me koi kar raha ho guftugu,

nahi kuch khabar k kis Ghari tere raston ka sira milay,

tere Naqs-o-paa ki talash me lagi to hai meri justju,

bas dekhna hai k kis tarah wo ji raha hai mere baghair,

jo dil me hai mere aaj bhi jise dhundta hun me kubakoo
