hr simt gham-e-hijr k toofan hain saqi
mat pooch k hum kitne pareshaan hain saqi
har chehra nazar ata hai tasveer ki soorat
hum shehr k logon se bhi anjan hain saqi
jis shehr-e-mohabbat ne humain loot lia hai
os shehr se ab kooch ka imkaan he saqi
kashti abhi umeed ki doobi to nahi hai
phir kyoun teri ankhon me yeh toofan hain saqi
kar in ka adaab,  rakh inhain seene se laga kar
yeh dard, yeh tanhaiyan mehman hain saqi,
