jism apna hai na rooh, na sayaa apna
jane iss zindigi mai hey konsa rishta apna
 aa k toofan ki zad mai, mujhey maloom huwa
na samandar tha kabhi, aur na kinaara apna
 ttokarein kha k girey aisey k utt bhi na sakey
dey saka koi na zulmat mai sahara apna
 ey meri roo, merey dil mai samaney waley sun
kesey hoga terey bin, ek din bhi guzara apna
 ek aisey mod pe ye zindagi lay aaii "Sabat"
toot k reh gaya gardish mai, sitara apna
 kesey rota hey bilak ker kisi bachey ki tarha
kho chuka ho koi jeevan mai jo piyara apna
